Sigh, my blog is so dead right now. I think ever since I became more active on twitter, it's tough to keep my blog updated cos I tweet about almost anything. Be it where I am, what I'm doing or what's on my mind. The only downside is that I've got to summarize everything in 140 characters, unlike Blogger where I can afford to be long-winded. But I'll still try my best to keep this blog going, cos it consists of soooo many fond memories, it'd be a waste if I just let it go like that.

So anyway, I'm really looking forward to next week cos I've made plans for nearly the entire week! :) You see, I'm not a stay-home person cos whenever I do, I'll just sleep my entire day away to past time. Otherwise I'll just end up feeling really restless, which makes me really unhappy. Plus I'm gonna spend the entire week doing stuff that I like, so I'm happygirl93 for now! :)

Back to Reality

Attended the NTU talks with Ven the other day and to be honest, I'm starting to freak out. The lecturers made it sound so tough to get into their courses. Well, I mean, I know it IS tough. But they just made it sound so traumatizing. Like for Mass Communications, you'll need a B for GP at least to be considered. TO BE CONSIDERED okay. And the rest of your subjects must either be an A or B. Ya right, where am I gonna get such results?

So... I thought I'd have a clearer picture of how this whole admission to Uni thingy is like by the end of the talks. And sure I did. I realized how stiff competition is, and basically, I don't think I'll have anywhere to go. Period.

Ready, Set, Go.

Just enrolled for driving lessons and the first available date for the Basic Theory Test is next Monday! Which is really soon...But the next available date would be on the 16th Feb, so I've decided to just go for it. Sat through all 8 modules last night within a short span of 2 hours! Really hoping I'll still remember all that I've learnt by next Monday! Hahaha feeling so spontaneous right now but that's what make life exciting, right?

Anyway, I should be starting violin lessons soon too! Just gotta wait for Claire to get back to me on getting the violin etc. and I'll be all set to go! Hohoho life's good for now :D

Bye 2011. Hello 2012.

2012 started off with a bang!

I don't think I've ever partied so hard in my life before!

So I met up with my classmates at about 9. Initial plan was to watch the fireworks from the Esplanade but the entire place was so freaking crowded we decided to camp outside Marina square, together with thousands of other people instead. It seemed like the whole of Singapore was there that night, I actually bumped into so many friends there. 

We were 3 hours early, so we played cards to past time and the fireworks finally came on when the clock struck 12. The fireworks actually lasted for quite some time! Just as everyone thought it ended, the sky was lighted up with beautiful sparks of a whole range of colors again. It was pretty spectacular, really glad that we went down to catch it live!

Later, we were supposed to head down to Zouk. But for some reason or another, we ended up walking from Orchard mrt all the way to The Cathay. And by the time we got to The Cathay, ours legs were breaking and all we wanted to do is sit. So we camped at Starbucks to rest for a while before heading out again.

It was another half an hour's walk from The Cathay to Zouk so in the end we all just decided to cab. And I think we waited for almost an hour just to get two cabs cos there weren't any cabs over there -.- So when we finally got to Zouk, Chester called Jerry (the manager), and he brought all of us in for free! He even allocated a table to us, treated us to drinks etc. In fact all the drinks we had the entire night were on him! 

Oh and I happened to be texting Dom that night, so he joined us a while later with his friends. Introduced everyone to everyone and that's when the fun really began. I think all of us just went...CRAZY.

All of us were drained by then but we still walked over to Tiong Bahru Plaza for breakfast before heading home! Aiya basically it was a crazy night but I had fun! :)

Melodies and Harmonies

Zac came over to my place today to sing! Had quite alot of fun even though it was just camping in front of the piano with a guitar, ukelele and our voices. Am really glad that I've a friend who shares the same interest as I do and who's willing to pursuit it with me.
